Norman Hartnell Silk Dress

Beautiful vintage 1970’s 100% silk chiffon dress, by Norman Hartnell, renowned designer to the royal household. This vibrant blue, shift style dress is in excellent vintage condition. It comes with a matching screen printed neck scarf and a blue beaded, tasselled belt. Nine fabric buttons conceal the side zip fastening from the hip to underarm on the left side. It has a thin elegant shoulder strap on the right shoulder and an additional layer of chiffon falls over the front and back of the bodice, which hangs beautifully on the waistline. Three fabric buttons also adorn the top of the delicately ruched left shoulder. The lariat style fabric belt can be worn loosely or to accentuate the waistline. Fully lined throughout with 100% viscose this is a light, comfortable and timeless dress from Hartnell's Ready to Wear collection.
