1950’s couture black velvet cocktail dress

Vintage 1950s cocktail dress in black velvet with large statement black taffeta and velvet bow detail. With matching black velvet bolero jacket, this demure, sophisticated dress is perfect for a quintessential cocktail party. Featuring elegant spaghetti straps on a square neckline, fitted bodice and a below the knee pencil skirt silhouette. The oversized, flowing bow is typical of 1950s kitsch & glamour, adding a little fun to the occasion. The accompanying bolero jacket is a perfect finish to this outfit and creates a truly beautiful vintage 50s look. Both items are in very good vintage condition and have their original hook and eye clasp fastenings.
